so my teacher at tafe wants me to make a match 3 bejeweled clone, but i am a bit lost on this concept, can anyone help me out, here? please?
if you had just searched just this board with the phrase "match 3" there are dozen people already answering and the second result offers a working file example.
So what specifically is the problem you're having?

I learn that in many puzzle games the use of flood-fill is a common things. First you need to find out how to detect adjacent piece with same type.
