Fog Effect

Hello all,

I want to try and make a fog effect for a top-down game. Basically I want to use a fog image and I want it to move slowly at a south-west angle. I can do that part just fine. However, the problem I am having is getting the fog to actually wrap back around to the layout. I set the behavior to wrap the layout so it -should- come back on the otherside of the layout, but it doesnt. Instead the whole fog image just gradually drifts off never to be seen again.

What might a good way to achieve this effect be?

Hmm, no, neither of those are what I am talking about. No need for fog of war or particle effects.

Let me make it more general: I want to put a image that overlays the entire viewable window. I want that image to continuously scroll towards the bottom left corner so that it appears moving. However, it needs to be continuous otherwise the image itself will ultimately leave the screen entirely and there goes the scrolling parallax/overlay effect.

Yeah, I figured that out after I read your post a little more carefully.

This issue has come up before, but I don't recall the solution. A capx would still help. If you don't want to link your project, can you create a new one showing only the issue you're having?

Glad to be of help....I should have mentioned that the fog background tile is from a tutorial by Yann (on zooming..i think) but I am unable to trace the original.
