Debug to windows phone 8 device

I'm having trouble debugging to my device from Visual Studio. It runs on the emulator quite fine but when I debug to this device it gives me this error:

I've tried selecting something different than "Any CPU" but it gives me the same thing, hope someone can help.

At first I thought how could I be so stupid as I was certain auto updates where on.

Turns out there is an error with certain Lumia 820's and 920's where the update will download but not install.
