How do I crop the white stuff off these pictures?

Hi C2 Forums! So I just finished the ghost shooter tutorial, and i want to learn how to crop this white stuff off of this blood picture so i can add blood to my player when he dies. Any suggestions?

If you have photoshop, you can remove the white color using Select -> Color Range, then pick the white color, press Ctrl+X to cut the white color, finally save it as PNG format (since JPEG don't support transparent).

I think if you open the picture in Construct 2 itself, you will see a small crop icon in the middle top of the screen. It works exactly as using crop function in photoshop except that you don't have to open photoshop.
