I'm working on my shoot em up game and was wondering how do you make that cool super beam attack like in this video? I'm not worried about holding the beam for a few seconds I just wanna shoot something like this out, thanks everyone

Yeah that's what I was thinking and just tried to add one from online that i found but it didn't work lol so I guess I'll keep researching

Like I said, most of it is animated sprites..

Once you've got the animation it shouldn't be hard at all..
