Convert WAV to AAC

Hi,

Not sure why, but I get an error while importing a WAV 44.1K or 11K and teh AAC is not created (w7aac... stopped working). How can I manually convert the file? I looked into Audition CS6 but there is no option for converting to AAC, only for Ogg and other formats.
