bouncy jelly effect

Hi everyone, im new here and also 1st time using construct.

We want to ask about making bouncy jelly effect, does anyone here know the tricks ? sorry for my bad english and thanks!

I think you should try to describe a bit more what you are willing to do.

"Bouncy jelly effect" is a bit vague.

Is it only graphics ? Has it an impact on gameplay ?

As I said, you should precise what you want to achieve in text/picture/video whatever will help us help you.

for locoroco it seems to be animated sprites.

for Jelly Cannon it's definitely shape tweening. In c2 it's not that easy to achieve. You can draw some shape on canvas, but interpolating them like that... I don't know. Maybe with a bit of r0j0's magic :D

Here's an way of doing one soft body.

I did it with the physics behavior and implementing springs from a center to the edge points, and springs from point to point around the body.

For graphics you could hide the center and edge points and use the canvas plugin to draw a filled polygon through the edge points.

we will soon post here using r0j0's way because it's quite different and more simple than our way!

I found a paper explaining a way to improve the simulation by using a pressure force instead of a spring force to a center. It looks like it will help with the edges getting tangled.

hi r0j0 sorry to asking again,

can you give some example about filling the 'jelly' shape that we already made ? we already use canvas plugin and try filling with polygon but the problem is we can't erase and re-draw when the 'jelly' is moving.

I haven't used the canvas before, but have you tried doing the "clear canvas" action before you do your drawing actions?
