Have you put them on a layer without paralax?

That should solve the lag..

Well usually one uses the anchor behaviour to keep something on-screen..

Seems like you are trying to keep something off-screen..

It would seem far easier to have the anchored object invisible while offscreen and set to visible when needed on-screen..

Can't download the latest beta at the moment, so can't have a look, but that's my first thought..
