[Small Suggestion] .cur support for cursors in IE

A small suggestion for .cur support, so IE can have custom cursors too. Currently .PNG works great, but just not in IE.

Well, I think it's IE's fault for not supporting PNG in cursors. Other browsers do it, but I'm not sure what the standard says. I think it would be better to report it to Microsoft as an IE bug. It doesn't really fit C2's workflow to introduce a separate resource for IE only, and it could be a waste of time if IE eventually add support anyway, so I'd prefer not to do it.

Internet explorer... why must you be so painful?

Internet Explorer has a good reputation for not supporting the good thangs.

Ashley I completely agree. Unfortunately that rules out custom cursors for Windows 8 native applications :(

Is this something that could be easily extended with a plugin? I haven't really delved into plugin development but if it's simple enough I'd happily have a look.

thehen - yeah, it would be straightforward with a plugin if you bundle a .cur file with it. I do think it's better to make plugins to workaround issues like this than to build them in to the main editor.
