How to reduce the file size of your images

Hi!

I found a good website that lets you reduce the file size of your images (the images won't lose quality)so your projects won't be too heavy.

Maybe some of you already know about this website. Anyway, I thought this might be useful for you guys.

I'm a bit skeptical. Reducing file size by massive amounts without any loss in quality seems too good to be true.

Note Construct 2 already does lots of image recompression on export so generally tools like this are not necessary.

Excal, this method is known already. If I remember right, it just deletes some data from image files. This data might be useful for different software like Photoshop but sure it is not needed for your games.

Ashley, I know that but I thought if the image is small PLUS it gets recompressed by C2, it's even better. Isn't it?

Construct 2 converts everything you import to a project to PNG-32. It only recompresses them to JPEG or PNG-8 on export. Therefore compressing images before you import them in to Construct 2 will at best do nothing, and at worst degrade the quality of the image.
