Hello, I am developing a game with the gamepad option but to try the game in the browser chrome and firefox they do not recognize the gamepad me that I have connected to the PC.

What happens? Everything is OK and also e-tested with the gamepad SpaceBlaster and neither works.

Please help

Would like to know if someone tried this option in PS3 gamepad and see if it works.

I AM FROM SPAIN, AND TRANSLATED WITH GOOGLE TEXT.

PS3 gamepads aren't widely supported because it's hard to get Windows drivers for them. Try an XBox 360 controller if you can get hold of one.

Ashley, didn't you know the difference bewteen DirectInput and XInput?
Xbox 360 uses Xinput should work with HTML5 API.

Otherwise DirectInput controllers won't work with HTML5 API, i think a theory if we could add DirectInput DLL for node could support all Controllers.

What's wrong with DirectInput? Why would they just do Xinput? No wonder the gamepad API is so limited?

There no Standard Gamepad API, according this http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=110013

they closed this issue for some reason. The solution is purchase new controller with Xinput or find a software may emulate DirectInput to Xinput

I didn't think it was to do with XInput or DirectInput, it's just you can't get Windows drivers for PS3 controllers so whichever API you're using can't understand the controller.

I keep asking to them why generic USB controller doesn't work and they told us it was DirectInput issue.

You will get like 100 threads about Gamepad problem in the future

I have a problem with dual gamepad configuration.

I've used the single gamepad and works fine, but when I add more event for dual gamepad, The Game won't detect any user input.

I'm using this kind of gamepad.

I'm so tired of XInput issues. I get that people use it because "hurr durr 360 pad" but it's limited to 'only' that. *groan*

I'm currently using a DS3 with Motioninjoy emulating a 360 pad. Hopefully the next generation will help combat this XInput nonsense with the DS4 being Windows compatible out of the box.
