Preview on Lan Issue

I read the tutorial on

scirra.com/tutorials/247/how-to-preview-on-a-local-network

I did everything accordingly and it still says "Unable to start HTTP server on '192.168.0.100' port 50000 (5)

• I ran construct 2 as an administrator
• I adjusted the firewall and even turned it off
• Preview on localhost works

Has anyone experienced the same issue? what am I missing?

Have you had a look at troubleshooting Construct 2's preview server?

Make sure you have your IP of your own machine correct that you are running construct on and put that as the preview server address.

most likely its 192.168.1.###, you were using a 0

also.

you want to put the IP address of the computer, not the device you are previewing on.

Then on the IPAD or whatever, you browse to your computer's IP to view the game.

I've tried all above and it doesn't work.

Preview on my own system is fine, it just can't work over local connection.

I checked my computer's local network ip, too.

I guess the only way to test my game is to export it, period
