In play store, game update, loss of progress accumulated?

Hello, when you have a game in play store (android) and you apply an update to the game, what happens to the progress of the player ?, are they deleted ?, are not deleted?

What must be done to keep progress and not be erased ?, if the progress is erased your game will have negative critics for it.

I do not use "save", I use localStorage.

Hi, I have just recently made an update to one of my apps which uses LocalStorage for a highscore variable and it appears to have erased the save (or it is unable to use it again)...

If the keys you have set are still the same and you haven't changed the project name then all saves will still be there after the update. Never been a problem on any of my mobile games.

It should be noted that it is certainly important:

• Do not change project name
• Do not change the name of the save variables

Have you changed them? If so that might be the problem
