Hello, the webgl effects of C2 are automatically compatible with C3 right?

Or maybe I am wrong and should also be converted?

I do not use C3 but if things change in the future (suscription model) maybe I could use it, so I prefer not to use anything that is not compatible with C3.

Most C2 effects are compatible with C3, they just need to be re-packaged in to a .c3addon file.

I understand, then what happens if the user who created the effect is no longer in the forum.

Could I package it? I have no idea how to do that.

Providing it has a permissive license, yes, you should be able to repackage it yourself. It should just need the addon and effect JSON files bundled with the .fx file. It's documented in the addon SDK documentation.
