Difference between Crosswalk version 'Beta' & 'Stable'?

What's the difference between Crosswalk version 'Beta' & 'Stable' on Intel XDK?

From what I can gather, Crosswalk 7 is stable and Crosswalk 8 is beta but is there any difference in performance or anything when choosing one or the other?

It's a bit like the stable/beta separation in C2: the betas eventually become stable, but you can try them early to test the latest features but possibly risking new issues. I think the way Crosswalk works the next version is based on the next version of Chromium too.

Haven't found any differences in performance between beta & stable, might be just my game though.

tomhaiger sometimes it's faster, but it also adds new features. like Ash said Crosswalk beta is based on the next version of Chromium. So it really depend on what that changes
