  • Really new at Construct 2 (a couple of hours). Coming from a coding background i am really used to write my own functions/event handlers. And this "Event sheet" editing really freaks me out It isn´t hard and i am used to all these control structions like for, if else...and so on. But....

what if i see that i have made a mistake and want to correct it in mutliple events? I don´t see any "search and replace" dialog anywhere. Do i have to go through events one by one and change my mistake? If so, seems a bit time consuming.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Yes, unfortunately, you do. There is a search function though, and there are some good shortcuts(like, replace object, for example).

For repetitive, non performance critical tasks, it's best to use functions to minimize the tedium of having to edit redundant code.

Event sheet modularity is supposed to be coming at some point, which should really help.
