does the C2 personal license cover upgrade to C3?

Hi, A friend with a mac is asking if he buys a C2 personal license now, if he can upgrade for free to C3 when it comes?

This is assuming that C3 supports Mac natively

The C2 license covers every C2 upgrade, but not C3.

Ashley has stated, however, that current C2 license users will get a discount (hopefully a substantial one!).

I don't think anything official has been said, but I wouldn't assume upgrading to C3 would be free (actually I would assume the opposite). Though owners of C2 might benefit from discounts to encourage people to buy the new version.

In the absence of a release date, I wouldn't wait. If you keep waiting, you never buy anything.

No but he can buy C2 and use it with virtual box etc. Better than waiting for C3 probably won't came this year.
