back, Ok, etc buttons problem

In the editor i do not have the buttons that allow me to go back to change certain aspects of any of my events. I used to have this now it is gone. This is what it looks like now:

how do i get those buttons back?

Preferences dialog "reset dialog" button should do the trick.

You can combine it with the updating of your graphic card drivers too.
