I don't think you can other than giving it the illusion of 3d, however i have noticed that on the bottom left of the window, where it shows the mouse coordinates, there is a z axis. dunno what thats about

Yes, but that depends on you. By the default features the answer is no. However, if your up coding in your own 3D Object plugin. You can, but it's going to be a lot of overhead work. The other disadvantage is that the LAYOUT system just isn't going friendly towards placing 3D.

Though someday who knows. maybe a 2.5D plugins will be in place

Essentially you can make "3D-like effects" and even actual 3D with plug-ins. If you're good at math, I bet you can make pseudo 3D stuff. I think the paster capx is very cool, looks like it can help you make a 2D sidescroller with some 3D graphics. I think I've seen another overhead GTA style project on the forums that looked really great!
