Are you saving it as a single file/capx? or a project directory?
Can you reproduce this in the latest beta r111? We fixed an issue with projects generating huge backup files. You'd need to save-as project folder first though, to make sure it gets rid of the old backup file.

I saved it as a single file with an older build omg :D
After saving it as a project it took 5 mins.
Now I updated Construct 2 and saved it as a project and it works in 1 Sec ^^
