C2 210 Videoplayback - No image Android Chrome

Problem Description

Problem of video playback in different browsers. Chrome for Android: no image. Tested with 3 different mobile phones including the latest version of android.

Chrome Cannery for Windows 8: Videoplayback lags. Sound is fine

Description of Capx

Its just a video element which should play a predefined video after touching the "play" button. Files for mp4, ogv and webm included.

Steps to Reproduce Bug

• Open Capx and start it
• Hit the play button (in different browsers)

Observed Result

Chrome Cannery for windows 8: Video sound ok, images very laggy (1 a second)

Android with Chrome: Sound fine, no image at all

Expected Result

Video should play fine on all devices.

Affected Browsers

• Chrome: No
• Chrome Cannery: Yes
• Chrome on android: Yes
• FireFox: No
• Internet Explorer: No

Small Update on this one: when i request the files directly in the browser the playback of both webm and mp4 is no problem at all, everything works as intended. So this might be related to the video object? i will continue looking for a solution, but this is my first project for a client and the first that potentially can earn me some money with construct i would be very thankfull for any help on this issue.

got the same bug recently. No Video Playback on Android and iOS. Lets hope there is some fixes coming soon, need that feature for a new Idea I had.

I want to extend the bug report. At the time I tested it the video also was lagging in chrome canary. This bug made it into release. So video is completely broken even for normal PC`s

Ashley I would like to kindly ask you to take a look at this. Currently I have my first ever paying client who needs this feature and i would finally get the chance to earn some money from construct. But with those bugs I can’t accept the project <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad">

any news about this j0shi? I have the same issue...

Can't reproduce here, at least using preview-over-Wifi. The latest Chrome for Android on a Moto X with Android 5.1 plays it fine, as does an iPhone 4S.

Hi Ashley, thanks for the feedback, you are right it works now for Android! but as i mentioned in the post before Chrome for windows doen not work anymore

Android 5 Latest Chrome on Z1 works fine

Windows 8.1

Chrome Version 44.0.2403.130 m AND Version 46.0.2475.0 canary (64-bit)

Sound fine, Video round about 1 FPS
