How do I Make A Group Of Sprites Visible?

How do I make a group of sprites which start off invisible, visible one at a time?

Create the group and drag all your sprite objects into it. Then you can use the System set group active event.

Create a Family for your sprited, put all of them in there, after that you can call "Set visibility -> Visible" or "Set visibility -> Invisible" on the family. This will set all of them visible/invisible.

How would I do this in the free Construct 2 version, where I cannot use Families?

do they have to be separate sprites (sprite1, sprite2 ,etc) or can they be separate frames of the same sprite ?

I'm just looking for an example to look at, so either way is fine with me.

several problems with it that could do with looking at including :

if you double click the left mouse the old group still is stepping through its loop so will flash onto the screen.

my method (event 6) of removing non group members could be more elegant.

I have a couple of ideas on how to fix these but I think for this demo it is good enough ?
