How do I destroy objects of the same type individually

Hello guys,

I am trying to destroy this yellow boxes, and so they will release a coin.

I was struggling with the fact that when I hit one all the other yellow boxes were destroyed. After a while, I figure out that using the UID of each object a could achieve my aim. I attached images to explain better.

However I would to know if there is a easy or better way to do what I want.

Use instance variables. UID can be different each time you run the game.
