    Unfortunately though the reds in AVIF lose a huge amount of detail and have larger artifacts (compare the ship's red glow, or the planet). Why do they still overly compress reds in modern times?

    But it's great that you can have objects use different compressions, so that for red images you can use a higher quality setting.
