Hotfix for saving projects.
I just lost my work because i run r319.
Project say 0 bytes. I run google.
Is there any way, to get anything from construct cache?
Edit: Chrome browser i mean.
I feel ya. That's why I only use stables
Ouch, hard lesson. Don't ever use beta releases for your real project. Betas should only be for testing only.
This is what I did. Right click file on drive - manage versions - download another version.
I just use chrome browser. My mistake about "google" i wrote above.
Do you mean you are using Google Drive? It should have a version history for the file so you can restore an older copy.
No, i just use chrome browser. editor.construct.net/r319
Any luck?
I was asking where you save your project file. Are you using cloud save, saving to a local file, or something else?
Local file.
You'll need to restore a backup. This is one of the reasons it's essential to keep regular backups for any important digital work!
Sorry, how to restore a backup? I just ask you if from cache there is an old step or something can restore. I save backups (means, save different projects) but this time i just update and just save without any backup and now my last steps gone. I need to restore this work, no just open old files.
It's essential to keep backups of any important digital work you do. If you have made backups then you need to find one of your backups and restore it. If you have not made any backups or set up Construct to make backups for you, then I'm afraid there isn't any way to recover a lost local file save - unfortunately this may be a hard lesson in the importance of keeping backups.
