Easy Leaderboard is a simple 3-column (position, name, score) leaderboard with a customizable appearance
EasyLeaderboard plugin for Construct 2 and Construct 3.
It's a simple plugin that allows to display a 3-column (position, name, score) list of entries known as leaderboard with a customizable appearance.
All you need to do is add/set/update the entries (basically users) with a particular score and the plugin will display the sorted data.
To make your development easier and faster. It's a nearly ready-to-go solution that will save your time with every project you make featuring a leaderboard or high-score chart.
After you add the plugin to the project, in the Properties panel you can set Sort type (how the entries are sorted: descending or ascending), Top X entries (how many entries are to be displayed) and Vertical margin (vertical distance between rows).
In the Event Sheet, use Create object action to place the leaderboard in the game (coordinates and layer are irrelevant).
Then use dedicated EasyLeaderboard actions to set the position of the leaderboard (X and Y coordinates and the layer where it’s supposed to be displayed) as well as width and font for each leaderboard column: position, name and score.
When the leaderboard is set up, you can simply use the Set entry action to add or update an entry of a player, where you indicate the player's display name, ID and current score.
The EasyLeaderboard plugin will calculate its score against all other scores in the leaderboard and sort it the right way.
Optionally you can set a Required user - a user that will always be drawn on the leaderboard even if it's outside of top entries.

This is a very useful tool for creating leaderboards quick and easy to implement into my existing games! Totally recommend this.
Very easy to setup as long as you follow the demo that it comes with (notice it has its own set position action and does not use the System one which creates the object). Had a small problem with it but they fixed it fast. I really like that you have access to the coords of a player id so you can add a highlight, a crown, etc.
I had my own system but it was pretty clunky to move to new projects all the time, this is way better.
Setup is confusing + after trying multiple times it will not work.
This is a useless plugin. Needed only by beginners. I was stupid and bought it thinking that it saves data somewhere on the server. As it turned out, he just randomizes points and substitutes the result in the desired line. All this can be written in 10 actions yourself.
The plugin should be called "fake leaderboard" or "pseudo leaderboard".
None part of the description, name or presentation video states nor suggests "it saves data somewhere on the server". The data needs to be entered/provided by developer as shown in the video and mentioned in description. Moreover, there is no randomization of points except for an example project.
Quick and easy to use and works very well. No it is not an online leaderboard, if it were it would have cost a great deal more but for what it is and the ease of use it is well worth the low price. If the developer were to make a leaderboard plugin that works with LootLocker or firebase etc I would be very interested!
