I am trying to make an RPG game and want to make the attack value differ according to the character stats,which are saved in instance variables. However,I can't find expressions to input the stats of an instance variable into the damage received. How do I do it?I'm quite new to Construct 3,so I hope there's a simple way to solve this.

I want to make a small game with the gimick of abusing the save/load system go beat levels. However,I don't know how to make the System->save/load blocks not save certain types of data (such as enemies or player's powerups ). Is there a way I could do this with the simple System Save/Load blocks,or do I have to use something extremely complicated like json loading?
Thanks for the idea. I was trying to make it a square outlining enemies to target them,but seeing I'm new,I should probably go with the simpler way of making a rpg comba system that you suggested.
Note:I'm new to Construct 3,so I probably can't handle extremely complex solutions.Right now I just want to know the type of logic it would require to do this.
