  • You can also test wirelessly through Intel XDK, which you'll want to do too. That will be shown to you as soon as you install the program, though.

    I don't really mean to sound like a dick, but most of the things people are asking for in this forum are completely useless. Keyboard, mouse functionality? Keyboard and mouse functionality is flawless, there's no reason to add useless "features". Multiplayer is awesome and MUCH easier than any other engine, it'd be nice if they didn't add more to it and kept it as simple as it is right now, because in it's current state, making a multiplayer game takes less than 10 minutes.

    People have made some good points when it comes to project construction and organization within the IDE as a whole, but when it comes to plugin expansion that's not incredibly ridiculously nitpicky, official Steam, Gamejolt, etc support would be great. Support for the platforms we will be developing for from the very beginning, in other words.

    That's not even remotely 3D. 3D means three dimensional, that game merely has 2 dimensions and hardly even appears to have a third one, so I wouldn't even say it falls under 2.5D.

  • I'm posting here because I'm not sure if this is a bug, and I'm using the latest stable version of C2.

    I'm working with Multiplayer, when the player mask and sprite are created on the host side, its fine obviously, but when created on the peers side by syncing them, it returns this error:

    "Assertion Failure: Creating World Instance Without Specifying Layer"

    The layer I'm creating them on is set to 0, so I'm not sure where this layer issue is coming from.

    Running the multiplayer example to check and see if this happens there too...

    Okay, I don't think it's a bug. So, here's what I just made:

    Aside from that the only multiplayer logic I have so far is joining a room. Any idea what's causing this?

  • Reading this thread for the first time and OP just says "fixed", so closing...

    Do close, or delete, the issue was fixed by updating from r230, so it was probably already a recognized and fixed bug in the stable update. Sorry for being uninformative.

  • I would recommend going for a market outside Apple's normal market first, I've had a lot of issue with Apple as far as self publishing goes.

  • Tetriser, I never notice when there's been an update. I'll try downloading it and see if it fixes my problem. If it doesn't, I really hope I can get help figuring it out, because I literally can't work on my game anymore. :\

    For a few more months. I'm trying to make a living from game design so I'll have more time to work on stuff like this. At that point I'll finish this.

  • GSquadron, Doesn't really surprise me. Not much demand for 2D game development.
