This could absolutely be it. And yeah, you should check the browser console.

Also there are chrome settings/plugins that disable cors, might be relevant in case you don't wanna buy ssl. Use only for testing your game though, cors is there for a reason!

Is there something about C3 on construct.net that prevents ajax from working?

Defenitely not, as it works for me. But it´s hard to tell what´s wrong here. The file could be cached for example, try opening it in your regular browser and hit Ctrl+F5 to force it to reload and try again. But it should defenitely work since I don´t have that problem.

Another option might be the custom movement behavior since it has a "push out of solid" action, but that action happens instant so it isn´t smooth.

I can only attempt to decipher what you need. But I think you might want to set a different parallax for the Y axis than for the X axis.

I use a .htaccess file for this.

Header always add Access-Control-Allow-Methods: "GET,POST,OPTIONS,DELETE,PUT" Header always add Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"

There is also replace or regexreplace expressions if you need something gone from the middle of a string. Just replace whatever with an empty string.

Can't you just use 2 different platform objects? Then you can disable one without affecting the other.

That might work for the player alone, but if theres enemies that also should use these platforms in the same way it will again stop working. Like if the player is below the platform he has to be able to jump through, but an enemy walking on top of it should not suddenly fall through.

Yes, I would still be interested in that. But it´s the C3 Physics engine (I know it´s both box2D but still things are likely different between C2 and C3.
