  • Hi guys,

I'm seriously in need of help here. I spend the whole day trying to get web fonts to work on other people's browsers but I just couldn't figure out the problem. It works fine on my own PC (probably because I had the font installed).

Asked 3 friends to load my game and all 3 are seeing default fonts.

I've tried both tutorials by pcfernandesjr and Przemek32767. None fixed the issue unfortunately

Here's a screenshot of my capx.

I tried replacing the url with just "stylesheet.css" but that didn't work either. (I used this method for my game few years back)

Any help is very much appreciated. For testing purposes, my game is currently being hosted on my own webserver and I'm using Construct2 R239.

  • Hi Guys,

I have been searching around but couldn't find a definite answer. How do I create a platform that's random in length with a starting and ending image?

Base on my image above, I would like to start off with the blue triangle, create random amount of red squares and end it with a green triangle.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for your insights. Yeap, I'm currently looking into Corona especially now that they released a free version for small developers like us to use. It's definitely easier than learning Cocos2D.

Harsh truth but I guess I should start looking ahead instead of trying to make a game that runs on 3GS / iPhone 4.

By the way, do you use Skype? I would like to add you if it's ok. Since both of us are releasing games on the AppStore, we can like cross promote our games with each other.

Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.

Not sure if this is off-topic or against Scirra forum rules but do you think you could share with us the name of the games you have submitted to the AppStore that was compiled using Ejecta?

The reason I asked this is because I would like to see how well a game can run on an old phone like the iPhone 4.

When I compiled my game, it runs well on iPhone 5 but terribly on the iPhone 4, to the point that it's beyond playable. (below 30 FPS)

Personally, I would prefer to make web versions of my game using Construct 2 while using a proper programming language for developing on mobile platforms (which I'm learning) but that takes time. I'm hoping to just get something up that's playable on at least an iPhone 4. Currently my Apple dev is active but doing nothing *ouch*

  • 0plus1 sorry, I'm still relatively new to C2. How do I add in those line of codes?

szymek Cool. Thanks for the info, will check it out.

Mine is still good for another 6 months and I have only released one game so far (paid someone for the programming). So might as well try to make the most out of it :D

I have just compiled the game I made using Ejecta. All is working well and performance is awesome especially on the iPhone 5 :)

I do have some questions, hopefully you can help me out.

    1. Do you suffer from any performance loss each time you exit to iOS main menu and back again into your game? (without quitting the game itself). For mine I noticed it wasn't as smooth as when I first launch the game.

    2. How do you go about fixing the different screen ratio sizes between iPhone 4/4s and 5? I created my game with iPhone 5 in mind, so when I tried it on the iphone 4 it scaled with black bars on the side.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi guys,

I'm always lurking around the forums asking for help. This time I would like to return the favor. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I wrote a tutorial on how to upload and host your HTML5 games on Kongregate. Unfortunately at the time of writing I couldn't upload any images to help explain the tutorial better.

    Ashley

Every time I tried uploading an image, I keep getting "Server Error in '/'". Could you please check it? Thanks!

If you have any questions regarding, feel free to let me know.

  • lukedirago

That would be awesome :) Will be sending you a PM soon with the screenshot

  • lukedirago

seems like the problem is from my hosting.

    pictures upload

Are you using your own hosting or dropbox? Or did you figure out how to upload directly to Kongregate since they allow uploads for HTML5 games (fingers cross on the last part :P).

  • lukedirago

Ah thanks. I didn't know that.

I tried using your methods but it's still showing Guest instead of Kongregate username. Double check to make sure I changed the url to the one you had provided but no luck :(

Are you using Construct 2 R139 or the latest beta?

Edit: After I left my game idle for a short while, it showed that I was disconnected from Kongregate server and trying to reconnect, to which it never did.

  • Got it. Will check it out :)
