In the file attached you will learn how to make a game like top gear
this is just an Start Example but you can do a lot of more and complex games using this example
I used just sprites to make curves and tile background with scrooling to make the perspective of moving
You can make new animations inside the main sprite road , like smooth curves to turn more realistic , you can make it using inkscape or photoshop make a bunch of frames turning
You can improve it making colisions on sides when turning ... be creative and you can do whatever you want .
