Read This First

I tested this on Construct 2. Do note this MAYBE will make the device to be lagged. This tutorial uses purely Construct's built-in effects.

Set Up

Make a white box using a simple sprite.

Make a white box. Why white? Well, after you've done with this tutorial, try to change the colours.

Apply Effects

This is an important one! To make it blurred the background in real-time, you need to apply the DIVIDE, BLUR HORIZONTAL and BLUR VERTICAL effects.

ORDERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT!

Done! Test It!

That's about it, really! You can now test it! Put some object BEHIND the Blurrer and you can and will see its result.

Sidenotes (Want blurrier?)

Do remember the ordering of the effects are very important. Also, do you want it to be more blurry? Don't bother to even change the intensity, it doesn't work correctly. Instead, apply the exact same BLUR HORIZONTAL and BLUR VERTICAL multiple times.
