Hey.

This week, I wanted to try making a mirrors effect, with lots of sprites in the foreground copying and distorting something happening in the background with some offset, to achieve a mirror effect, kind of like in these mirror labyrinths.

To achieve thise, I used Lens2, a modified version of DeformQuad and outline.

Lens2 is a built in effect in Construct 3, and outline can be found here:

construct.net/en/make-games/addons/265/outline

I've had to modify deform quad so it wasn't bound to the screen portion of the sprite, but rather the whole thing, so it wouldn't produce weird results when pushed to the edge of the screen.

I also played with Z elevation for the parrallax effect. Z elevation, affecting Z order also decides what mirrors get drawn first, so lower mirrors will get distorted again by higher ones.

The files are available publicly for free on my patreon: patreon.com/posts/34091285
