Joel's Backroom Adventure" is a game that I've created, combining adventure and puzzle elements to create a thrilling experience. The game's backstory follows the main character, Joel, who goes to the grocery store to find his dad in the milk section but accidentally falls into the backrooms when he opens a freezer.
Players control Joel's movements using WASD or arrow keys, navigating through dark, winding corridors in a first-person perspective. I've designed the game's graphics to be stunningly realistic, showcasing the game's eerie and ominous atmosphere. The audio is a collaboration between my friend "Jashwin" and me, creating a unique soundtrack that complements the game's overall feel.
Throughout the game, Joel will encounter two entities, "Andrew Tate" and "KSI," (don't worry I will add way more entities as I update the game) who relentlessly pursue him. Players must evade these entities to avoid getting caught. If Joel is captured, the player must solve a math problem to proceed. I've designed the math problems to get more difficult as the game progresses, making it more challenging to progress further.
The game's difficulty level increases as the player ventures deeper into the backrooms. Players will encounter more entities as they progress, making it harder to evade them. I've designed the game's puzzles and challenges to put the player's problem-solving skills to the test.
"Joel's Backroom Adventure" is currently only available on Construct 3, but I plan on expanding and improving the game's mechanics and structure. The game's puzzles and challenges make it an engaging and rewarding experience that will keep players on the edge of their seats.
