  • I suppose it's time for you to hit one of the biggies :) I voted for families, although physics or tilemap would do as an alternative.

  • I always use THIS free online site for checking files, even though I have Kaspersky, there are times when a second opinion is warranted :)

I really wouldn't recommend playing around with the system files, and besides, most DLLs would need to be unregistered, removed then re-registered (usually). You could introduce massive system instability.

How about creating a System Restore point, update DirectX and check. I can't believe that updating would affect his program - that's the whole point of keeping your system up to date, surely.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Ah, I see. Maybe he wants to pass the values as login credentials to a website.

  • Also, how do you want this to work functionally, i.e. what is it you or the user will see and what happens with the text boxes? It's a little hard to see what exactly you are asking for (to me, anyway).

I think Zack0Wack0 keeps his coding on github HERE. One of his projects is his own 2D HTML 5 game engine. A very busy guy :)

  • Good idea.

Most sites do have a user-created 'showcase' section, which would also be a good advert for the program itself.

  • Construct 2 already supports the option for checking for Right, Middle or Left button, so creating a menu shouldn't be a problem.

  • Are you sure you don't mean GTX? There are known issues with GTX cards that have never been resolved, unfortunately.

Part of the problem is usually to do with non power of 2 textures, and part of it is CC itself.

If you search for 'GTX' on this and the previous forum, you'll find numerous threads regarding this issue.

C2 doesn't have this issue, BTW.

  • Construct Classic was and still is open source, so what's your problem?

The new HTML 5 Construct 2 system still has a free version.

It's for you to decide what software is the most appropriate for your needs, and even Gamemaker charge for their new HTML 5 system.

This road has been covered many times in numerous threads. I suggest you read through all the debates and make up your own mind that way.

The fact that you posted your solution means it could be helpful to other users who may have similar problems.

    Nice one :)

  • FF6.0.2

    Works fine here also.

  • Do you ever get the feeling that R0J0hound's real name may be Zod, and we should all 'bow down before' him :)

Joke aside (if that's what you'd call it), very useful .cap, much obliged.

  • Agreed. This should really be in the 'Help' section, as this section is for showing users examples or tutorials, unless that's your intention(?!) If so, feel free :)

  • Much appreciated. Thanks, lucid.

  • This scrolls perfectly for me (nice little megaman promo btw). Not much help, I know, but at least you know it works :)
