I can see the difference now, but as DuckfaceNinja mentions, and the manual entry says,
[quote:8c051et8] It is recommended to use a square power-of-two size (e.g. 32x32)
so try that, and if it still looks fuzzy, then post a bug report for Ashley.
You don't give any figures with which to make a valid determination. How large a png are we talking?
Is there any chance you could create a very simple capx that recreates the issue that others can also test for you? That way, if it does crash for us, you can post a bug report for Ashley to look at.
I just did a quick test comparing a sprite, tiledbackground and tilemap, all using the same image, and I couldn't tell the difference.
Would it be possible for you to post a very simple .capx so others could test for you?
Ashley has stated this is deliberate behavior. Whether this is still the case, only Ashley could say.

I think one reason is that a non-focussed app would continue to draw power from the battery, which is not a good thing.

I've posted a tutorial .capx in the tutorial section https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/1125/space-invaders of an old school classic Space Invader clone.
You should be able to get whatever you need from it to make a start on your own version (hopefully).
It appears to me (sorry if I'm wrong) that you are attempting to create the Angry Bird type mechanic.
Have you tried the Physics Catapult template?
I disagree entirely. Ashley is the only developer and as such, I think his time would be more beneficially utilised in developing and enhancing the core C2 program.

Not certain this is a bug. Release notes for video plugin say:
[quote:4yitr78a]node-webkit can play WebM
(https://www.scirra.com/construct2/releases/r171) although manual doesn't state the same(!?).
I just tested by converting your file using VLC to webm and it played fine in NW.
Is your anti-virus preventing the creation of the node-webkit files, i.e. flagging as suspicious?
If you temporarily disable your AV and install C2, do you still get the error?
What OS are you using?
Isn't the System Action 'Create Object' of use? https://www.scirra.com/manual/125/system-actions
Here's an example that uses a normal text field, but using spritefont should be just as easy.
Do a search for 'typewriter' - there are several examples.
I think that might be what you're after (hopefully).
Yes it is possible, and quite easily. You could even modify the template that comes with C2 to do this.
You should read the release notes https://www.scirra.com/construct2/releases/r175
[quote:cyz0u3kb]Audio importer: no longer retains .wav files in the project. These were never used for anything nor exported for any platform.
I'm using the same version on the same OS and I don't have that issue.
It looks to me like a problem with a non-standard plugin.
