  • Hey everyone. I am just wondering on where do I start when wanting to create plugins for Construct 3? Are there any tutorials or any good documentation that I can look at for someone that has never written a plugin before.

    The SDK manual should be your first port of call, and as it states there:

  • I have developed most of the game logics in C3, only to find out that I need a plugin that is only available in C2. Is there any easy way to convert that C3 file into C2? If not, I may need to rewrite every event in C2... Thanks.

    Absolutely no chance, I'm afraid.

    Have you tried the plugin converter by blackhornet?

    Might be worth a try.

  • oosyrag's response was a perfectly valid one, but your response was not. That type of attitude is almost guaranteed to stop users wanting to help you.

    Please be more careful in your response to others. Remember that English may not be the users primary language so mistakes in understanding can occur.

    Another way of getting a better response is to post your current .capx, which will allow users to see what you have already tried and so make better, more helpful suggestions.

    I've kept quiet until now, but I'm getting to the point that I no longer want to read these any more, which as a mod, I do - every post. In fact, I'm seriously considering on leaving the forums forever. Such vitriolic posts just get to be depressing after a while.

    I'm more than happy to allow discussions, however uncomfortable but I do take issue with the whole 'censorship' thing.

    Threads are usually allowed to say what they want and are only locked - not removed, which would constitute proper censorship - when they become repetitive (which they nearly always do) or become abusive in some way.

    Anyway, of you all go, repeating the same thing. I hope you feel empowered by these posts.

    If it is a purchased book, then usually the assets are available via the publisher's own website.

    You will need to follow the Bug report REQUIREMENTS if you want this to be investigated.

    Ashley has frequently stated he can't find bugs from an image.

    A minimum .capx and precise steps are needed.

  • C2 is a Windows only program - C3 would be the choice if you want to develop on an IPad.

    Probably easier to upload full new game then delete old version.
