    I vote for all options that are comfortable and easy for the developers and users fairly and equally.

    Id say one off payment would always be nice but not with a huge price tag

    id say a yearly subscription of small amount would be good enough if not better for scirra

    id say a monthly subscription will just help their userbase alittle more and satisfy some of the airy heads

    id say a DLC model is a unlikely idea but if the price is a lot cheaper 5-10 pound per dlc update every say 1 year and the aesthetic were a lot greater maybe

    The best method would be to let people decide how much they want to pay within fair bothways limits and within fair both ways timeframes

    and provide decent rewards that don't effect the user experience negatively but effects it positively and then not reward gating them apart

    from the initial subscription just giving them free digital stuff

    that is always evolving and getting better they should be more like very productive , fun , aesthetically pleasing plugins,etc and

    deeper behind the scenes stuff then keep evolving and branching out from their

    without burdening others in the process.

    That result could possibly lead to a smaller income of say maybe up to a million dollars or pounds whatever your currency is more or less

    but a much more consistent and stable userbase and a lot more passion and activity

    then you can just charge a small one off price again every significant number version

    Construct 4 , Construct 5 aslong as it's worth the upgrade just for that extra income and I don't think many people would

    be pissed off with paying for alittle work right ?

    Rewarding your users in evolving intelligent not going to steal your money intentionally ways is always the better way slower but fast in the longrun

    it's not badly captalistic because we are paying you for the work in return we are getting a piece of software and free stuff.

    I would strongly recommend a year sub and a monthly sub not just a monthly sub because I prefer the yearly sub if It comes down to it.

    Havok I'm sorta in your boat I like construct 3 regardless but I do think their's some ignorance or delusion going on in the development

    of the construct engine which should be publically announced officially unless It has already in which case ignore that little part.

    Ashley I respect your work by the way and I don't consider you a bad person and I'm not trying to discredit your success.

    Their apparently not listening to this and have other agenda's ("being too rich which is such a bad business decision or money stability"),

    they would only listen if the entire population of construct users stoppped using their service

    but then they probably would say we won't be able to continue making the software

    which is just bogus so it seems like their's some kind of delusions going on in the minds of someone.

    However if it comes down to it and their's no other way I'll probably get C3

    because I want to make a fucking game had enough of trying to program with no extensive and proper results.

    In my mind I am not bashing the developers, I am trying to help.

    I have C2 but I like C3 better.

    Wow people are really going at ashley ... He's a fucking expert or even an amazing mathmatician as far as I'm concerned

    and the products he and his fellows are making arn't extremely bad obviously

    I think everyone would do their product differently and I see many many flaws being a designer even

    in a piano but regardless I think moving to web browser did put a performance hit on the engine in comparison to the c2 c++ version but the engine

    is not exactly terrible at all their are a few things that bother me like enabling a effect whilst in the event sheet with that rather strange text input

    based selection but I think that gives us more control so I wouldn't consider that a problem more of strange but useful oddity and I hope

    it gets updated to be more simpler or in the manual it explains how to use it properly also I noticed a bug in the sprite editor

    If you draw a shape then fill it in that shape will not be completely filled their will be one or two pixel gap also I don't think the way

    options are layed out in the object actions window or even the event window is exactly the most simplest it could be stuff that is most important

    does not seem to be clearly viewable you have to scroll around or ask someone on the forum to find out where certain actions are

    but other then those few things the editor is solid as fuck soo I don't know ,

    personally I would favour both the web browser application one and a software application

    if I had a gun to my head Id pick the fastest and more efficient option and I think well honestly javascript is not as super fast as c++ or assembly

    or even binary and possibly machine hardware it self but making a web browser version means cross platform issues are basically

    alot more mute , you can still do everything you wanna do the speed decrease is rather negligible possibly I havn't tested it properly

    and c++ is a lot more trouble sooo maybe it's for the best that it's web browser now...?

    I have aspergers , ADHD ,etc so it's harder for me to be a programmer then your usual.

    Either way I need construct 3 to be finished otherwise I'm never going to be able to be a game developer unless

    I can find graphics programmer who is passionate about mathmatics in game development which is alittle bit of an strange world to be in

    and I could go that route but preferences will no doubt clash and I'll end on my ass soo...

    I want what's best for everyone and the most efficient option so maybe their should have been a intelligently described voting system

    where before the options are defined and shown their is a disclaimer that gives you a decent background on the actual evolution

    of ease of accessibility and so on also the vote options should be described in simplified detail and their results in simplified detail .

    Obviously that vote has long gone now but maybe in the future that should happen.

    Okay maybe this will work :

    Ashley I can totally understand the how's not being described from a programmatic perspective in detail in some cases it can lead to some

    rather difficult issues of legality and that the accuracy is variable at best,

    I am talking about the how's of the actual process of doing certain complex trivial tasks

    like storing a action dictionary "a bunch of words that have actions or functions attached in their value" these action dictionaries

    can then be used too simulate the very basics of true to life conversation in a NPC AI once the player types in a particular word that matches

    with the word in the action dictionary .

    If the detail in the manual is not full fledged expanded on in depth at least with the what's and where's explaining their possible uses

    ,their purpose of being their ,etc it can lead to some real hulk fist radiant punches beyond the concrete walls of the sensual office lol.

    ^^ those kind of complex problems ^^

    newt I agree extensively when their's not many tutorials on the subject you are after

    and some tool in the construct engine is missing a kind of elaboration on various uses

    or the simplest way to implement it ,etc that can lead to some difficult problem solving

    which could even make it impossible to finish that task from my point of view.

    5Type When I bought construct 2 it was quite clunky I was really in the unknown

    and Id read the manual and get very frustrated with the non-expanded on detail

    Of the various references and explanations in the manual I actually had to ask

    someone how to scale a sprite accurately on both x and y cartisean cordinates while pressing the up arrow

    because the setSize or whatever it was scaling function was doing all kinds of weird too fast and flipping scaling .

    tarek2 Exactly I am saying that the manual needs more expanding on , more simplicity I've actually built prototype basic

    2D or 3D Game Engines with C++ & OpenGL2 , OpenGL3.3 with GLSL 3.3 ,etc and used many different programming languages like

    Java with LibGDX , Lua with Love2D , Ruby with Gosu , C++ with many different apis from SFML to GDI , Python with PyGame ,etc "literally"

    but I didn't like programming because it was so flawed to me and that's why I chose to use someone elses engine

    with much simpler tools because I realized I am a Game Designer not a mathematician of extensive degrees can do some maths

    know how kind of to write Quaternions:

    double x = sin(xval * M_PI/80) / -1;   
    double y = sin(yval * M_PI/80) / -1; 
    double z = sin(zval * M_PI/80) / -1;

    Probably should have that in a struct called Quaternion 
    but still! you get my point.

    Well.. If I was going to do a manual Id have liked it to be as complete as possible

    to the point that you'd literally have all your answers to 90% of questions

    no matter how complex to some extent like how can I store information of a character who has been

    changing scenes several times I mean I do know how to do that you just have one file shared between one object and exchange information

    or something like that but for more bigger questions it seems limiting to not even have a more vivid picture of what everything can do

    in the construct 3 and even 2 engine if you know what I mean that's what I'm talking about.

    I agree that making games requires knowledge of describing real world energy

    but I think it could be done with much more simpler terminology then is currently been established

    sin and cosine is nothing to a nasayer you could say that about the word rotate but

    once you know rotate and then you could do RotateX , RotateY instead of all this weird sin and cosine mumbo jumbo

    it would be much simpler but that's why I am not a game programmer because I do not agree with the current

    way that programming languages and game libraries ,etc have been designed clearly not from ingenious visionary that's for shore.

    So I'm working towards construct now as my game development friendship.

  • I would like to see a manual that really goes into extensive depth about what all the expressions are,

    how the entire engine works ,etc so that I don't have to guess my way through the engine to some extent.

    The manual for construct 2 was okay but it didn't really answer all my questions when I was making a prototype video game

    I had to ask around once and that can get quite tedious if you are thinking big picture games?.

  • Lets just not bash the developers away from the development of construct engine

    instead providing feedback and replies should be more then enough all are futures depend on it in some way if we are to use construct

    and the developers too but their making it instead : ) .

  • I think that it would be amazing if all the expressions were made more easily accessible

    as in a reference with detailed explanations , I couldn't figure out by myself how to

    check for a keypress even when I made a keyboard object and use it's functions attached

    I had to rely on any key being pressed.

    I think it needs more chromium browser support .

    I think that blend effects ,etc could be made more easily accessible and actually

    have some kind of a preview box so that we can actually see what will happen without having to

    apply and remove everytime this could apply to all effects ,etc.

  • I like that it has more upgrades above the old ui but I do not like the browser support currently

    I have vivaladi which is a chromium based browser and it doesn't work regardless of how updated it is

    I have swiron which is a chromium based browser and it doesn't work on their as well

    it only works on the worst browser of all for stealing your information google chrome

    and I really dislike that but otherwise I've found it slightly cumbersome to use

    but I managed to get a pre-rendered 3d scene into the layout and put 2 hand drawn sprites

    and have one of them zoom in on the press of any key leading the way for me to refine it so

    that it appears like the hand sprite is going into the distance I hope otherwise I probably won't be able

    to use this engine... and I don't know if their are any other decent alternatives to this.

    I don't mind that it's in the browser but I need it to work on the browsers I am using .
