  • Hi

I released Days of the Year a couple of days ago on iOS - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/days-of-the-year/id1448209828?ls=1&mt=8

2018 was a sucky year for me, and I looked back and realized I'd spent more time being angry or stressed than what felt healthy, so I made this tool just for me. However, everyone I showed it to liked it and wanted a copy, so I figured I might as well clean it up and release it. The point is to simply get a good overview of your mood, and being able to track it over a year. I've already found that it helps me, it becomes sort of a self-fulfilling thing, you want each day to be at least normal, so you actively try to feel good. Maybe someone here will find it helpful as well.

  • Hi

Just wanted to share my game Robbotto that released yesterday on Steam and Nintendo Switch (the Steam version being made in Construct).

    store.steampowered.com/app/881190/Robbotto

  • I just can't get it to upload to a leaderboard. It can find the leaderboard fine, but it just refuses to upload. Is there some trick to it I'm missing?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I've bene scratching my head about this for some time now. I'm using the Steam 4C2 plugin to integrate Steam functionality, and everything works except leaderboards. Achievemtns unlock, it connects, it even finds the leaderboard, it just won't upload anything to it.

I've attached a file of what I'm doing. Also can be seen here: robbotto.com/leaderboard.png

    Score being a global value.

Like I said, it can find the leaderboards, and I'm running through Steam, and I've double-checked the leaderboard names etc.

Has anyone used leaderboards with Steam4C2? I've emailed the author, but haven't gotten a response.

  • Thanks:) Yeah, I made it. The music is made mostly with Famisynth, and the soundeffects are made with ChipTone.

  • Hi

I'd like to present the cinematic trailer for my upcoming game Robbotto, a retro game inspired by Bubble Bobble.

    https://youtu.be/BtLhF6RpMbc

  • I had completely missed that that is an options, thanks!

  • Ah, awesome. Thanks!

  • Is there a way to round it just the closest?

  • I'm having a strange issue. I have an object that is set to always set its Y position to the Y position of another objects image point. This works for most parts, but some time the first objects position will be something like 120.00000077486038 instead of 120, which causes problems. How does that even happen? Everything moves in steps of fixed integers. Is there a way to make sure a position is fixed to the closest integer?

  • Maybe you should consider some kind of endless mode/ activity whenever a player beat all bosses and levels? Other than that Robb and Otto look very cute :3

Yeah, I know. I have been looking at implementing some sort of procedural generation, or maybe a level editor, but it's quite complicated.

  • Hi

I'd like to present Robbotto, a retro-inspired arcade game currently in development. It's inspired mainly by Bubble Bobble, and others like that. You progress through the levels by killing all the enemies.

You play as Robb and Otto, two intrepid maintenance robots, as they must traverse a disaster-struck spaceship and stop all the malfunctioning machines!

As you make your way through the ship you will encounter a variety of enemies, room-sized bosses, and level hazards. Will Robb and Otto be able to save the ship and the rest of crew?

    • Classic Retro Gameplay
    • More than a 100 different levels
    • More than 20 different enemies
    • 10 massive bosses
    • Single player or local co-op

Feel free to check out the game and sign up for a newsletter if you want to know when the game is released.

    Estimated release date: Q1, 2018

  • No one has any experience? Is there any other way to include fonts in projects?

  • I have been trying to no avail to convert a font to a webfont and use in my project.

This is the one I want to use in my project: http://www.dafont.com/hachicro.font

So I've used a tool to convert it to a webfont, resulting in this: http://jm-j.com/robbotto/webfont/font.zip

I've uploaded the files to that folder but regardless how much I try, it just wont work. The event is At start of Layout > Set webfont, it looks like this:

    I also tried this:

Why won't it work? It works when using fonts from google fonts. And I can't use spritefonts, So I need this to work.

  • I did manage to fix it, and it appears that it was a similar problem. Some animated objects that had physics caused it.
