  • Hi ppl! I'm Nagval333 aka 7thReactor (kind of brand name) <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"> I have spent a few months with Construct, with a forum and with a idea to make my game. So now I want to present my first android game Hidden Jewels!

    My apologies for too many words about one small game. You can just skip the text, download the game and write your opinion about it, I'll be very grateful!

    My education is far away from programming, therefore I decided to start with Construct2. At the beginning I was planning to make some kind of pixel RPG with an emphasis on dialogue and atmospheric story. But after a month I have realized that it's too much for me (Exploring Construct, graphics, music, etc from zero). The second option complete opposite - a simple memory/attention mobile game with a minimum graphics/animation.

    Graphics - I was needed a bunch of different jewels for a game. I decided not to use outsource content but only made by me. The problem was that I am not graphic designer and I never works with graphics tools. So I started with Inkscape (vector graphics editor) its free and got many tutorials on an internet. Some of my Jewels, game Icons and Logo evolution:

    music - I have tried different software like FL studio and Audiosauna, have read bunch of tutorials but did nothing worthwhile. So in the end I decided to use free content. Many thanks to: http://soundimage.org theme: THE MONKEY ISLAND BAND by Eric Matyas.

    Testing (besides intel xdk simulators) - Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 (ME173X) and Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray (ST18a) (the last one have run it with lags)

    Future plans - Other markets besides Google Play. Version for Windows Phone, maybe BlackBerry10 and landscape version for Samsung/Windows desktop devices. In the future, if the game will be OK, I'm planning to add Google Play - Leader board and Achievements function, maybe the more detailed Scene achievements statistics and of course more new Scenes.

    So guys i would like to see what you thinking about it, some comments or advices <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

    P.S It's take me about 2 months to finish this game. The weigh before build was about 2.8 megabytes. It's means 1.4 megabytes per month !!! Great efficiency <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing">

  • Cool game. I very like game menu/UI style and sounds etc. The only minus its little bit laggy on my Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 (it's not surprising, cause my tablet is far from top)/////// I wish you many downloads

  • Why you decided to go to paid app? If its so good, why not to make free version with paid extra content? I don't wanna hurt you, but it's not looking like quality paid app. Would you bought this game?

  • Hi guys. When i build my app by Intel XDK everything is ok but how I can give my app two words name????? For example I want my app will be named "One Shot". But XDK automatically change it to one word "OneShot"?????

  • Very beautiful level design//// I liked zoom effect at the end of the first level, it adds some volume

  • Wow... it's one of the beautiful thing that i saw on construct 2.... Awesome art/graphics, animation of goat is great!!!!

    (I played it two times. On the first time i have stuck in the bottom part of level near the door. The animation has frozen in the jump mode on stairs and I could only turn left or right. So I had to restart ///Browser Firefox///)

And the price will be lower for those who already have this basic version...etc" But there is a nil information about your developing, your plans etc//// For now, like GTGJon says, its just a simple example//// Anyway its can be interesting idea (at least for me) but you have to give more information and share your plans about it.

  • Hi Darth Crusher//// I like this game, retro graphics, secret levels, runs good on my Asus memo HD7. But i think you have to add player death animation. And there is a reare bug: sometimes the level restarts automatically without any reasons.

  • Hi GeometriX, i find the solution///// I don't know why, but for some reason the "Preload Banner ad" function caused the problem (!!!!!And the problem is appear on one devise and don't appear on other///In my case its appear on Asus MemoPad and dont happen on Sony Xperia ). So i have removed this (it's pretty important for full screen ads, but not for regular banner in my case) and its working fine! image below ===>

Thanks for your plugins///// I set Admob banner as a small "Standard Banner" (320x50), but on the first time the banner appears (when the game start) its looks like "Smart Banner" (Screen width x whatever) and only on the next layout small banner is appearing. Earlier I have asked about solving this , but nobody answered. Today I have downloaded your game "Block Puzzle" and saw that you do not have this problem (Standard Banner appears right away on the first time). How do you handle it?

    I would greatly appreciate any help from you as well as others forum members.

  • Hi everyone! I have some weird problem with Admob banner//// After game building everything is ok except one thing. I have set up my Admob banner as a SMALL "Banner" (320x50), but on the first time the banner appears (when the game start) its looks like "Smart Banner" (Screen width x whatever) and only after the small banner is appearing (on next layout).   • I have this problem too, about 0,5 sec lag after build and no matter via IntelXDK or Cocoonjs
