  • Hi iv'e been using construct for a game for a while now. pumped 600+ hours into it and for about a month now the engine becomes very unresponsive.

    When I double click events they take a short while to open or I have to click the construct window tab at the bottom for it to show up.

    Everything can become really unresponsive and minimizing and maximizing the window is needed to refresh black screens.

    It happens fairly often now usually every session, does anyone know the main reason I have these problems?

    Perhaps some reasons may be:

    I have got a fair few of the plugins from the forums.

    I have 50 layouts up to yet.

    The game runs fine ingame it's just when making it with construct 2 I get the problems.

  • Here's a small battle arena style environment with my new enemies on for testing purposes. Sorry about the big download the whole game is behind it. Not sure how to export just this part of the game.

  • Looks great :D what are you trying to escape from?

    Theres A spirit ghost type enemy that can spawn at any time and if you don't escape from it you die. Clocktower style. There will also be the odd trap to keep you on your toes.

  • New enemies coming up in the next main level im working on. heres some animations.

  • Early stages but as well as my own game I'm also working on this game for someone. Its and adventure game set in an underground city that you are trying to escape.

  • Sounds like a good idea to me! Only about 22% complete yet but once its finished Ill see what I can do.

  • Might be doing more scpecial visual effects and particles by the end of it but the characters themselves are final assets.

  • The 3 hp was made to give enough challenge to the level without being too hard. There are checkpoints throughout the level in small 1-3 minute chunks that gives you full hp back once completed.

    Wasn't fully intended for web play so music can take a little to load before it plays but the gameplay seems to work fine as far as ive tested.

  • Added keyboard functionality to the stage select... seemed like it was kind of important to add in.

  • If you dowloaded it within the first ten minutes I sent the wrong file and its been uploaded with the right one.

  • Got a demo of my game up and running. Demo has one level and 16 missions.

    A little about the game:

    2d Platformer.

    1 player.

    similar style to megamane but with strider style slashing.

    You can use keyboard but pad is highly recommended.
