Wow! I can't tell you how much time I personally 'waste' by compiling the code and testing it out. Unity has a system in place where you can edit your variables and 'jam' your game.

Personally, I find this useful because you can edit your variables on the fly and test as you go. This video has a really cool set up where you have the values on one side and the game on the other.

Perhaps in the distant future, perhaps a 'debug preview' feature could be added. One where you can edit variables a long the way.

  • Sorry what I meant was upload it to your wordpress server.

  • Agreed, only thing im not really likeing about it is its a pain in the ass to animate anything ( i use image points, move move them, and have my parts get the rotation between the two points) this way i can change armor, monsters etc simply by changing arm head torso graphics etc

Animation is a serious backlog to any project of any scope. Just remember that games that you play probably have 1-10+ animators on the project. I always tell artists that if you can animate for games well you will never be out of a job.

  • This is actually quite cool. What would be really awesome is if there was a wordpress plugin to just upload the game to a post. I could see a lot of people using that feature

  • Just remember that mobile devices aren't really that powerful. The only other non programming one is game salad. But personally I like C2 better.

  • Or the combined unity3d licenses for around 3k.

  • Thats at least 1100 dollars. ;)

  • You could get a game salad subscription for 500 dollars a year. ;)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I don't think it's going to happen.

If you want to make a PSN or XBLA game your are looking at some heavy costs. Their SDK's are 10k and their certification process can easily run you 50K. There is XBLIG but that isn't a business solution it's a hobby solution. Plus you can't even use unity on XBLIG.

I would love it if C2 was on the Xbox but the way the MS runs the Xbox publishing service I don't think it's highly likely.

The only way you will get onto XBLA is to make a free to play game and get people playing it and hopefully approach some publishers to help back your game. By the way, XBLA games cost around 750k to produce with art, programing and everything.

  • I personally like testing on old computers I find that if I test on new computers I get "greedy".

  • Also the submit to search button is gone. Does anybody know where it went? They probably moved it.

  • I have put the "s" in http. The only thing that I am missing is the link to the game. I can't seem to 'publish' my game on FB.

  • Nice prinukun!

I have no idea what I am doing wrong actually. How did you do it?

  • You can still use most of the facebook functionality if you set it up and use the app secret and app ID. You just can't see the app on facebook.

  • I have been tinkering around with the entire platform for the last two days. Im not getting anywhere.
