  • It's impossible to get new features working in older builds, and it's far too much work to track which features work in which releases when you can make a backup before using a new release.

    never mind ....

    I kinda hate the auto save feature now ,... as it messed up my games versions ... ohw and whatta you know .. it auto backed upped and auto saved over my current versions ....

  • So .. after a day my game only appears in Safari.

    It doesnt appear in IE, FF, Chrome.

  • You shouldn't generally do this, because if you used any new features at all from the newer version it will probably explode in the old version.

    Still, having it as an official feature wouldnt be so bad I guess.

  • Is it possible to get an option which assists in people using the latest beta version exporting as if it was the latest stable ?

    ie

    I have 151 beta atm, and desire that my export is compatible with latest release 146.

    My export holds no features tied to the beta, ... at least, I think >_>   (perhaps an auto check for that, with a warning if it does hold beta related elements)

    Reason for this, I myself and a few others ran in the issue when writing tutorials that when they export their capx's to share, that they are incompatible with people using the latest release instead of beta.

    Do you have some models we may use ?

    I've been making some multiplayer games, and would love to have some of these ships representing the players.

    They are top views, semi isometric.

    with at least 8 directional movement angles.

    I'love to make a space type version of these.

    Also, seeing as they are motherships, do you have some smaller vessels which go with them ? (ie boarded ships)

    You have an awefull good sense of timing, I just uploaded the new version with some imporved graphics and an on screen control.

    The on screen joy stick should be obvious.

    I adjusted the firing mechanism; When you are able to shoot, you can either click space bar once to arm your tank (red control knob becomes red) and pressing it again will fire.

    this works from the control knob too. When its in neutral position, tap it once so it becomes red, armed, tapping it again will fire the rocket.

  • I have added a tutorial to make games like this, everything should be in the   tutorial   including a capx file which holds the PHP files.

  • I dont see a edit ship button once I am in the lobby.

    The ship didnt return after load attempt, I tried removing slashes the second time, no go.

    I will try again tomorow, I liked building the components like that :)

    Hmm, I will need to rebuild a 'decent' ship .. seeing as I couldnt get the controls working right in first place, ... I build a flying canon that shot almost everything >_>

    Hi, thanks for playing ^_^

    The radar is just a small representation of the entire map, but you can hide in the corners xD as the radar dial is round and only shows positions when the dial cross's it.

    I figured the map huge yesterday already, but making half as small would require some repositioning.

    I'm making progress on a somewhat different game where I was testing the php for, which requires far less connection stress as this one, but still :)

    TanksWars game mechanics in construct itself is less then 60 events though :)

    I was just playing your game still, busy trying to get the controls to work decent to get that nebuchanezer one hehe :D

    About other methods to connect, and send data, this does work with cocoon hehe, and I am a php programmer myself with quite some mysql experience and if need be build enormous relational databases :)   its a bit of my forte, so dont want to switch ^_^

    After that I got it going :) pretty nifty there man.

    whats the multiplayer part ? the other ships ? those actual other players ?
