  • Hello. I'm developing a multiplayer card game where all the cards are objects synced by the Host. After a round ends, all the players disconnect from the server and log in again. But sometimes when the players log in and move to the game layout, the cards from the previous game seem to stay instead of disappearing (even though it's a different room). This also leads to some problems, including all the cards being revealed when they shouldn't be. This caused me to force re-loading the page after playing a round. What might the problem be in? Thanks.

  • Shuttle Siege - Light Edition has come out! You can play it here, here, or here.

  • Shuttle Siege has been featured in Groupees' recent Greenlight bundle! Check it out here.

For some reason disabling auto-play seems to work for some videos and not work for others. I've tested it with different videos, didn't see any order in which ones work.

I only installed the plugin yesterday, and I updated it just now, but the video is still auto-playing. My workaround is muting the video and pausing it after 2 seconds (if people want to watch it, they will), but it would still be nice to fix the bug.

Do you think the layer problem is caused by Construct rather than the plugin?

  • Also, I just wanted to point out that a global YoutubePlayer object doesn't work very well when switching between layouts. For example, the initial layout with this object contains 3 layers, and the video is on the top layer. Then I switch to a layout with just one layer. If I come back to the initial layout after that, the video object switches to the first, bottom layer. And there is no action "Move to layer" for the object. I had to create 2 more layers on the level I switch to, just for this.

Thank you for the plugin. I used the action "Load video" and set auto-play to No, yet it still starts playing after it loads. How can I fix the problem?

  • Is online

    Empty sub

    Else

    Why empty sub though?

  • If you want to launch the game early all you do create a new room with a specific name (private room) and have those players go through the signal server again to join it. The max players is set to the amount of people in room before launching.

I thought about that. Never actually tried it out though. Thanks for the suggestion.

The problem is - my lobby system makes peers join lobbies with most players (if they're not full). So if a peer wants to play, he would join the same lobby and be kicked out of it over and over again.

  • If a game is, say, for 4-5 players, and people in a round want to play with 4 players, nothing prevents a 5th player to join. It is very difficult to work around this issue. That's why manual "Lock room" and "Unlock room" actions would be very useful. Is this possible to implement?

  • With the chat room I end up being the only one in the room, and get kicked after about 30 seconds of joining.

A person I try to play with has the same problem. Seemingly it happens to plenty of people. Turning off firewalls didn't help. Has anybody been able to figure out what's the problem and how to fix it?

  • I've personally only had problems with external plugins in Intel XDK, a simple game can be exported easily.
