    Ok. If the boss level is one a dedicated layout, then put those actions under "on start of layout". Or you can put them under another event (for example when the boss spawns etc.).

  • I am trying to get the IAP plugin to work. I have added everything. It seems to be setup correctly, but when I try to buy something I get the error: "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account." Do I have to publish the game for it to work? Or is it enough to just upload it to alpha?

    It works fine in other apps, but not in my own.

  • Construct 2 preview mode runs as a webserver, so this should be working.

    On your main PC:

    1. Touch Win+R

    2. Enter "ipconfig"

    3. Find the IP-adress for you NIC (network interface card)

    On you tablet:

    1. Open your browser

    2. Enter the IP adress and port 50000 in the address field (ie. 192.168.2.1:50000).

    I guess Construct 2 need to be run as an administrator (right click Construct 2 icon and select "run as administrator") for it to work.

    Go to the "About"-dialog in the upper right corner to see if your copy of Construct 2 is licensed.

  • I mean, there are no places to enter app ID or any other identification. How can it know which store to connect to? Does it require the Google Play plugin?

    Cause I have set up everything according to the manual (both Scirra and Android doc), and it doesn't seem to work.

    Nothing happens when I click the buy button, and no text is being printed to my testing textbox. Any ideas?

  • I am making a came where I want some objects to move towards the position I click/touch. Right now I'm using the same approach as the RTS example that is included in Construct 2. The problem with this one is that the objects gather around the position with some distance. I want the objects to gather around the position as close as possible.

  • I am making a mobile game with Construct 2, and using to Intel XDK to build it for Android Crosswalk. I have added the official IAP plugin in C2. I have added the product in my developer console, and "on start of layout". I have also added the "BILLING" permission in XDK.

    Anyhow, when I click the button where it should buy the in app product, it says that I need to log in to my Google account to authenticate. Any ideas how to fix this?

  • Seems like this had to do with the official Google Play plugin (as it seems optimized for web apps). Added the Cranberry Game plugin, and now it works.

  • I have added the GooglePlay plugin and added all data that is needed (appID, clientID and client secret). I have also added a "Sign in" action on the "On start of layout" event.

    The project is exported as Cordova, and built with Intel XDK.

    The thing is the app won't ask for login on my Phone. If I try it in my computer browser, I get a popup window from Google (so it seems like it should work).

    Anything I might be missing in the process? Any permissions that should be set or something?

  • Great, good to see Construct 2 being used for education! Was there any feedback about Construct 2? I'd be curious to hear about it if any.

    Already a bit early in that matter, as the process of promoting my students work and the researchers finding. I will surely mention and encourage the use of Construct 2 as a platform in schools. I might send you guys an e-mail later with the results of this project if interested.

    I also have a lot of ideas for improvements for the use of Construct 2 in education. I will keep you posted later when all data is collected. I think education could become a big market for you, and I would like to see Construct 2 being used in a bigger scale, as I really enjoy using it.

  • The class I was teaching last year participated in the European project iTEC, where we looked at new ways to learn in the future classroom. iTEC is a project by European schoolnet, which is the network of 31 European Ministries of Education.

    We participated in both cycle 4 and 5 (there were 5 cycles in total) with games and gamification to learn subjects, and I choosed to use Construct 2 for development. In the final cycle (last year) the students even got to make some demo games, which impressed the researchers.
