  • It is limited to iPad pro only. i've tested few months ago and the problem appeared only on the Pro

  • non, classic Android devices, but i mean version R221

Amm, my games are letterbox scaled and alright on iOS, Android and PC. Both tablets and phones. On the Chrome.

  • This also happens with Android mobiles

Do you mean very large Android tablets? Like iPad Pro?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Looking forward to know the cause. Intriguing

  • Tried coding the sprite, which has the effects, to - on start of layout or everytick = set X and Y to windowwidth/2, windowheight/2. Did not work

  • Replaced those UI objects with the effect's object and it does not work. Though thanks for this scaling technique, I will keep it in mind! You might have misunderstood this problem.

The effect itself is like zooming-in on mobile. When it looks good on PC, when trying out on mobile the effect is zoomed inside. What I am looking for is that it looks exactly the same on mobile too. Like all other non-effect sprites.

This also applies to other effects. Maybe all

The effect I am using is here

  • Hey All!

That's how it looks like on my Android XPERIA Z3 Compact

And on my Windows 10 Macbook Pro

How to make the effect scale properly? So it is the same as PC on mobile

    Thanks!

  • I've updated it.

    You can upload yours anyway

  • Hello Ashley,

You just need an Ipad Pro and the ability to turn it to the landscape mode with any web exported C2 game

  • Maybe Ashley will give You some quick fix as your situation is quite important .You can also try to play with different scaling methods.

But let's hope this will be fixed quite soon either by Apple or by Scirra

  • Problem moves here -

  • Heh

And since You got the opportunity to try out how it's on Chrome... Would be great to know! Or is it the same?

  • Problem Description

I've noticed that on iPad Pro's Safari, when I turned my games into landscape, the screen did not scale properly (only small part of the screen) and it does scale normally on other tablets, phones and PCs.

Also I was able to see objects which was outside of the layout. Which never happened anywhere else.

    Attach a Capx

It applies to all my different games. All my games are letterbox scaled.

You can still download the Capx of one of my games to check it out here: https://www.scirra.com/arcade/adventure ... ecret-1922

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Open web game made with C2 using iPad Pro's Safari
    • Turn it into Landscape orientation

    Observed Result

The screen did not scale properly (only small part of the screen) and I was also able to see objects outside of layout

    Expected Result

The game's window scales properly and fully throughout the Pro's screen

    Affected Browsers

    • Chrome: (Unknown. Would be great to test if someone has the opportunity)
    • Safari: (YES)

    Operating System and Service Pack

    Windows 10

    Construct 2 Version ID

When tested the iPad Pro, the version was r16 or +

  • I remember this issue too

I don't even use effects because of this and because the effects run differently on different devices.

Effects has a great potential but needs to be fixed for sure
