  • totally possible... its just a normal top-down view game.. the simplest game engine you can make in c2 platformers are harder lol.... just your looking at countless hours of graphics to be drawn... the game engine itself its pretty easy to be made in c2 if you have the graphics ready... and other assets.

  • im usually using abs(angle(x1,y1,x2,y2)) that solves it for me most of times.

abs-olute basically takes "-n" and shows u "n" takes "n.nnnnnnnnnnnnn" and shows "n" absolute values to the rescue lol

Edited: however my suggestion it might create problems giving only positive values... R0j0's formula should work better.. makes more sense in mathematical way.

  • you mean jumping towards the mouse? or just jumping as a platformer on vertical axes? if its like a platformer then you need to add the platformer behavior and on mouse click simulate control jump . and that should do it... if you want to jump towards mouse... then you need to simulate other controls but then its easier using as said using the physics behavior and applying a impulse of 5-10 towards the touch/mouse x y the fall is a matter of adjusting the physics behavior how hard or soft should fall etc.

you also have to remember... platformer behavior only interacts with solid objects (add solid behaviors to walls... and platformer to your main character)

physics objects only interacts with other objects that have physics behavior. dont combine platformer with physics you will get weird stuff...

  • you need to lock the orientation to "landscape" and that should solve it. however if your exporting using ludei u have to choose again the fit of the screen and if you have it the wrong way... they wont match... if its made in intelxdk u dont need to worry for the fit just lock the landscape and design your game to fit the landscape view .

  • like this?Capx Dowload

    cheers

  • Oh sorry, it should have physics and to move freely.

  • im working on the next version lets say 1.1 wold be pretty useful for people who want to do spectrum effects for YouTube music videos or other stuff and dont have the knowledge, money, time etc for more complex software licenses.

basic controls for adjustments so it can enable any shape you want .. speed ratio etc... loading music from HDD or url in ogg format or wav ( not sure i have to see what type of formats the audio supports for c2 if are imported from outside )

angle movements etc background loading sprite rain effects and more

and wold be awesome if i can figure it out how to record the canvas.. so you record a small avi or flv video of the song and then just export or upload directly to your server or even youtube/facebook profile

Whats your thoughts about this "little" project? useful not useful? what features you wold like? if wold be possible?

    First version can be foundHere

If you cant run the web version you can always preview it on youtube

!!!version 1 is pretty heavy since was meant to be just a test and show people what you can do with the audio.analyser effect that C2 has built in.

Curent Requirements to run the first version

Minimum requirements : dual core 3.2Ghz 4 gb RAM 1gb GPU card with webgl Support

Recommended : quad core i7 8gb RAM 2gb GPU card with webgl support

New version will be more optimized.(meaning less objects and smaller requirements.)

    Drawable objects and updates/s ~870

    !!!

  • I've updated the screenshot on the OP with the latest revamp.

What do you think, isn't it a bit minimal?

much better its looking good, but there is always space for improvement... for example i love all the shadows areas and the aspect how it gone till now, but all those shadows facing in same direction its repetitive its turning the beautiful design to something ordinary... try playing around with the shadows maybe place them at different angle or maybe remove some of them on some sections ... also you are missing some extra stuff between the areas which are called transition spaces... so it doesn't become to crowded. for example : section1 , space with some small info or a random image that represents ur activity ... 2nd section, space/ 3rd section ,space etc

    website for reference https://www.construct3.com/

the transition spaces are also called parallax areas where you can customize them with a background image that moves weirdly the other direction and gives this animated look to the website and also creates a bit more room between the information you put in front of your customers... you have to give a bit more time to reach to the other section like a small 30 second tv commercial between the shows... you want to see the show episode after episode but your mind will need a short brake to process all that info...same applies here and not only to websites or tv commercials....

well these are my suggestions ... with a bit more polishing and attention to details you get there <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">

that if you want to have it in that manner... you can always go with the arcade small version you had before but you have to take again in consideration what works with it ...

for example see http://www.miniclip.com dont mind the game lists being cluttered look at the color patterns the white on edges is different then the middle one all colors combined together look perfect and fits their services.. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">you just have to find your own if you dont have it already as an image in your mind. keep at it for sure your on the right track <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

also check http://www.itunes.com also for a more crowded without so many animated parallax areas but again they have just 2 3 sections maybe the color pallets you have is not working or those shadows ... gives the impressions there should be a space between them.

also more websites you can look at http://www.swypcard.com/ https://www.pebble.com/ sorry for listing all this big companies but they are the leaders of website designing and everybody is doing what they are doing now a days. unless you have a exact old style in mind, classic one.

P.S you can also add the link of the website to the OP so you dont have to re-upload images everytime.

P.P.S the parallax areas is a suggestion mainly because the website its multicolored... if you wold have it in 2 tones or 3 tones the parallax areas are not needed. since the colors wold not be so hard to look at them when you transitioning (cause every section you read its a different color and the eyes have to adjust to that area and its kinda hard for most people). this is called pattern recognition is used in music industry as long as fashion, website designing etc... when your eyes anticipates what color or you anticipate what sound might come next thats easier for people to look at a product... for example you have a 2 tone website where you have 1 multicolor parallax area and 1 black and white one the brain already knows after the white and black comes something colorfull so your prepared while on your end you dont expect the blue after the yellow or the green after the blue... plus the shadows are distracting on dark areas like the dark blue

    hope the insight helped you <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"> sorry if its to much info. but when i like something that i do i cant help it ahahah <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes"> <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing">

  • .....

When I have a more solid state of the game I'll release the demo for valuable feedbacks

awesome looking forward to it keep up the good work.

  • - Thanks for your feedback, I'll fix those later.

However, does long shadows still trendy right now? I've decided to create a long shadow effect on my icons.

well depends on the shadow... right now the trend on websites is around Minimalist designs and flat Ui colors... the best and most pleasant are those who match that category and nails the flat color pallet.

you have a good layout assembly, but colors and shadows are not ok with it mainly cause the colors are to dark and the shadow is/was again dark... also see for reference they look clean simple pallet colors etc.. most websites this days are using the same tehnics

  • at the moment there is not since the nickname is based on the registration name.... its not a 2ndary public name as on regular forums where you have account name and forum name.. which are different. here you only have account name which acts as forum name as well.

maybe after C3 release Tom will have time for the forum interface also.

  • you can always develop in 1920x1080 then the rest resolutions should match it since c2 automatically resizes... however on a 854 screen mobile... that 1920x1080 will just fit and look to small... i guess go with the 960x540 since its in middle.. then it can stretch enough and resize proportionally ... i dont know thats how my head understands it at the moment...

the above takes in consideration only the mobile support... for desktop doesn't really matters... since all sizes are big enough and even if resizes to a smaller desktop its still visually playable... where on mobiles if the fit is to small u cant touch the buttons the right way...

  • Some characters I'm working on (With diablo 3 inspirations XD). Skeleton, Skeleton Summoner, General of Fear and Tormentor.

It's a mock up but with a lot of the map generation already done.

    Any feedback regarding to design?

the characters and graphics are awesome totally wanna test it out has that retro style thing

  • awesome plugin definetly saves some events

    ... will it blender?:D

    yes

  • Audio Analyser WaveForm Visualization Examples

Something i'ved been working lately at to understand how the audio plugin works for a audio generated map game... but seems audio plugin doesn't allow to play 2 songs simultaneous while audio.analyser is applied to one tag only... so i ended up doing this instead.... wasting my time while trying to figure out how to implement wavesurfer.js as a plugin to C2 ... hope you like the Lights show... its a bit gpu intensive... lots of sprites moving around... around 900 of them

Edited: Reuploaded with audio Youtube Video
