  • Thank you, but for whatever reason, when I load my project with this add-on I keep getting the error message:

"Failed to open project. Check it is a valid Construct 3 single-file project."

  • Does anyone have a link to a Construct 3 rex_rotateto.c3addon? I have it for my Construct 2 project that I need to convert over, but I can't seem to find one that works for Construct 3.

    Thank you so much,

  • Hi, I love the water effect and I use it on multiple different layouts. The weird problem I'm running into is:

When I go to different layouts (new levels) some remnants from the previous level appear in the ripples of the water effects in the new layout. It almost looks as though the new level is reflecting parts of the previous levels. I have no idea why this is. When I get rid of the object from the previous level with the water effect, the reflection in the new level disappears as well.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thank you

  • If anyone does happen to think of something I could try in the meantime, I would love to hear your ideas. Thank you, everyone!

  • Thank you for your help Ashley,

I guess I will work on it today and see if the problem persists and if it does I will upload the game to look at. I just wanted to see if it happened to be a semi-common problem that could be solved quickly, but it seems like something that is more unusual than I expected. Thanks again.

  • That is the thing, I can’t find any infinite Loop and the debug mode shows that the layout runs at 0.8 gigs of memory. Maybe I am understanding wrong but each layout uses separate memory, correct? If that is so there should be no problem on that front. The error message pops up upon loading the layout. It never comes up after the layout has already loaded.

  • Hi pixel,

I tried both versions, online and not. It is construct three. It’s weird though because construct just sent out a quick update and the six or seven times I’ve loaded the preview since then haven’t had the problem. I’m really hoping the update fixed it, but I would still like to know if it’s an issue on my end. Any suggestions?

  • Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone else was having a similar situation. I am running into this error pretty consistently. It only started happening a few days ago. I have 16 gigs of RAM on my computer, and I am not doing anything different than I have done in the past. In the debug menu my game is only taking roughly .8 gigs of RAM to run the level I am working on. Any thoughts? Thank you for your time.

  • Hello, my file is exporting to NW.JS and the audio and music is not playing on export though it works in the preview. The file formats for the music are .webm, and .mp3. I saw a forum similar to this, but it did not work with their suggestions.

    Thanks!

  • Hi everyone, I am trying to export an NW.js and I am continually running into the same problem. When I preview the game in the programming phase the playable layout is exactly where I want it which is about 1/4 of the screen. When I export it, the playable screen shows everything including outside of the game area. I have tried everything I know to resolve this but can’t seem to find a fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi everyone,

My goal is to be able to download a demo version of my game to test. I want the NWjs export to be able to play and save on local storage. I was able to get to a point where I exported the following files:

When I click on the nw application the game loads and seems to run fine except for 2 issues.

Issue 1: there is NO sound.

Issue 2: the whole screen is visible and not the layout view I have in the programming phase. Only the top left quadrant should be visible.

Can you please help me understand what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you so much,

    Daniel Vasi

  • Thanks again. I know the polygons are overlapping at some point in the animation because the character's polygon goes through the object, but I am trying to figure out why it doesn't register the overlap at later frames in the animation (only if they are overlapping on frame 1).

  • I am not sure why I feel like this should be simpler than it is. I am doing what you said, Plinkie, and it only works if I am overlapping when the animation begins. I believe that it has to do with the animation changing the collision polygon, but I can't figure out why that matters. Thanks again.

  • Thanks so much, folks. I am completely new to this. Can either of you tell me how to post my project?

Thank you again to both of you!!!
