  • Thanks! Kuzie

Actually the Robot 505 artwork was all done in Photoshop.

    No problem annduggan

  • Yeah condolent PS can get weird with it's timeline when animating sometimes.

Kuzie No Prob! PS is great, don't get me wrong. As long as you have created a set of pixel brushes, and your grid set up properly to streamline your workflow, it works. Though for pure creation I find Pyxeledit to be a bit easier and it retains proper pixel alignment when drawing. As in you don't get double pixels when drawing shapes or lines. It's more 'true' to pixel art.

I've seen http://www.piskelapp.com/ neat little app... Pickle looks sweet! I dig mirrored drawing abilities. Will have to check it out.

Aseprite - Great tool... Sadly I never liked it. :/ it's layout is very MS paint.

  • Hey all!

I am planning on releasing a few items in the Scirra Store. Pixel (various game styles) UI kits, Tilemaps, and some Character Animations sets.

I also wanted to see what the community as a whole is interested in and looking for in particular when it comes to game design assets.

Feel free to post or contact me directly with any ideas and/or requests.

I have over 15yrs of professional design experience. I specialize in User Interface Design and Illustration - but I am able to create just about anything.

  • Love the art style of this! Keeping an eye on this project

    Continued progress on 'Dragon'

Display of the three stages, and some interactions. Still very much a work in progress.

  • Great job! Really neat concept. I really like the 'not knowing' what to do aspect, as stated earlier. Once I examined the lantern - I was like "AHA!" Too many games these days are basically one giant tutorial. I like to have discovery, it grants the player with a feeling of achievement.

  • rexrainbow

    Okay. I'll test it out.

    Thanks for response.

  • Rad! I assume this could be used on a bounded (window sized) layout to simulate parallax?
