  I have to point out that I'm afraid it's not our responsibility if third-party addon developers corrupt your project. You should report any such issues to the addon developer, not us.

  The safe area is a rectangle smaller than the screen avoiding things like the notch. The safe area expressions give the distance inside the screen on each edge of the inner rectangle.

  Move all your UI inside the safe area and it's guaranteed it will be visible.

  The editor doesn't bother spending time recompressing PNGs to the smallest possible, because it doesn't matter in the editor. When you export with "recompress images" enabled, it will do intensive recompression of your PNG images to make them as small as possible. So this is the only case you should measure.

  Hmm, it looks about 4 years old. I'd have thought it would support WebGL.

  I don't know why it doesn't, it must be a problem with the GPU or driver. Almost all devices support it these days.

  Is it very old? What model is it specifically? Virtually all devices released in the past few years support WebGL.

  Are you using an emulator? It says it's missing WebGL support, which usually means it's emulated (and doesn't have a GPU).

  Construct isn't an appropriate tool for making a website. There is no good answer, because it's designed for making games, not responsive websites. I'd advise sticking to HTML.

  It works fine for me. The message says it crashes in atio6axx.dll, which I believe is the ATI/AMD graphics driver. So this appears to be a graphics driver problem rather than a Construct problem. Try installing any available software updates and check for updated drivers.

  I think you might be talking about the launch video which was just meant to demo the feature, it's not really meant to be a tutorial.

  It's another case of this thread that explains why alert doesn't work. This has come up often enough that r194 now patches in an alert function in worker mode, but only for that function, there are still other methods that don't work in web workers. The scripting reference in the manual covers this further.

  I don't recall using this in a tutorial though, since I've always known this won't work in worker mode. What are you looking at exactly?

  If you're just trying to see if JS code runs, use console.log() instead - it works everywhere.

  I guess it makes more sense to apply the notchfix plugin when you set the viewport fit to "Cover", instead of based on the status bar. I'll change that for the next release.

  The safe area is just whatever the browser reports it to be, Construct doesn't have much to do with it, so I don't know why that wouldn't be correct. My own tests did show it working.
